Interns/Trainees Opportunities
Field Placement Experience for:
Intern and Trainee Opportunities
- Work with children, adolescents, adults, seniors and families
- Telephone, individual, family and group counseling opportunities
- Individual and group supervision
- Opportunities to do presentations to the community, schools, etc.
- Orientation to the agency
- Training in death, dying, grief and loss issues
- 15 – 20 hours per week with a one year commitment required
This volunteer field placement experience offers developing therapists exceptional training in the area of grief and loss counseling. They will have opportunities for child and family therapy, individual therapy, bereavement counseling groups, and expressive arts therapy. It is a life enriching opportunity that may enhance your quality of life as you help others address similar issues after profound loss.
The clinical supervisor provides individual and group supervision, experiential training and regular self-care and enrichment opportunities.
Qualified applicants must be enrolled in a master’s level counseling program. Intern opportunities are also available for graduates registered as interns. Bilingual (Spanish) applicants are needed. We have regular openings throughout the year.
