Massage

By individual appointment at Vista Therapeutic Specialties office with a reduced rate for our hospice families and the bereaved that are currently on service with us. Please call Hospice of the North Coast for more information.

Transitional Counseling

Individual and family counseling for those in the community dealing with a life threatening illness.

Spiritual Consultation

Chaplains from Hospice of the North Coast are available to offer spiritual support to those dealing with a terminal illness and those who are grieving the loss of a loved one.

Lending Library

Open 8:30 a.m.—5:00 p.m. Weekdays
An expansive library of adult and children’s books on death and dying and the grieving process. Available from the Hope Bereavement Center at the Hospice of the North Coast office in Carlsbad.

School Outreach

In-service training: Educational training to help school personnel know what to expect from grieving children and teens and how to respond to students and parents.

Classroom presentations: Interactive classroom presentations to educate students on loss and the grief process.

Community Education

Periodic seminars for professionals with CEU’s offered that are generally held between January and March.

Workshops and Services for Counselors and Peer Advocates

Topics covered are determined by the needs of the participants at each session. Past topics have included: starting a new group, working with the school administration and teachers: pitfalls in running a group, what to do before and after the crisis team arrives and how to treat student suicides.
